This is the perfect place to hang your hat, take off your boots, and stay a while! This quaint, old-time western-style bunkhouse is fully furnished in an eclectic, semi-rustic country-style and features many amenities as listed below.

Renting Dancing Coyote Farm's Cowhand's Bunkhouse is ideal for all types of travelers, including: tourists with their children, city-break weekenders, travelers visiting family & friends in Acton and Agua Dulce that need extra rooms, traveling nurses, interns and other medical and business professionals. The Bunkhouse is super comfortable, well-furnished and full of amenities, and best of all... priced to fit just about anybody's budget!

HOME STYLE. The main residence is a rustic-style, custom-built farmhouse situated on four acres in a beautiful rural, country setting. This private, retreat-like home features very comfortable furniture, high-end appliances, fixtures, and amenities. Located 1/2-mile off paved road on well-maintained dirt road.

The Cowhand's Bunkhouse was once the Farm's caretaker quarters. The manufactured home has been completely renovated and turned into a comfortable, ranch-type bunkhouse with plenty of room for a full family to enjoy an exceptionally comfortable stay and has a great outdoor patio area to relax on.

MEALS. Dancing Coyote Farm is not a Bed & Breakfast; no food, meals, or beverages available (except as noted).

Games and Activities at Dancing Coyote Farm.

Ask for one of our complimentary sketch pads. Borrow our pencils and colored pencils and find a quiet corner to reconnect with your artistic side, perhaps finding inspiration on a walk around our property.

Use our binoculars and wildlife guidebooks on the property and make friends with the variety of colorful birds and shy critters that call our farm home. We're striving toward restoring the land to its original diverse form while supporting our food needs. Squirrels, raccoons, possums, and rabbits forage our grounds while California quail, bluebirds, woodpeckers, mountain jays, hummingbirds, barn owls, robins, western tanagers, retail hawks and falcons, and more soar overhead. You will probably even site coyotes and bobcats while here — but, keep your distance... don't try to make friends with them!! Our "we've sited it" list keeps growing, as do the flora we keep adding to the property. Reminder: Keep your children and pets close, especially at dawn and dusk, as there are predators.

Bring jackets year round. We're at about the 3,000 ft. elevation. Nights anytime of the year can be chilly or down right cold!

*LA County Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT). For stays from 2-nights to 29-nights. IF THIS ROOM IS BOOKED using a online company hosting platform (i.e., VRBO, AirBnB, FlipKey, OneFineStay, HomeStay, etc.) all rental prices are plus the 12% required Los Angeles County Transient Occupancy Tax. 13-week Contract Rentals and Month-to-Month Rentals are exempt from the TOT.

THINGS TO KNOW

Getting Around.

There isn't any public transportation here. Approximate costs for rideshare/shuttle rates: Local LAX airport pick-up available for $100.00+/- per person, each way. Burbank Airport 45.00+/- per person, each way. Guests will have to make their own bookings with the shuttle services. The closest, full service train station is Santa Clarita; shuttle fee approx. $25.00 per person, each way. At this time there isn't any Uber or Lyft drivers in the Acton/Agua Dulce area that we know of.

Driving to, or departing from, Dancing Coyote Farm. A few destinations that are good to know about. All miles and times are approximate.

GENERAL HOUSE RULES

To maximize the enjoyment of your stay in the Bunkhouse, please read all of the house rules before you book.

• Please close and lock any gates behind you when entering and exiting the property.
• Please keep all exterior doors closed when entering or leaving the Bunkhouse.
• Please turn off all lights, unnecessary small appliances, or floor fans, as well as the stove, oven and Heat/AC when you are out to keep the electrical or propane systems failing at any point during your stay.
• Do NOT let any water run without attendance or for a long duration, as Dancing Coyote Farm gets all of its water from a well. Showers should be no longer than 5 minutes; tub baths should not use more than 50 gallons per bath/per day. Only 2 full loads of laundry (cold water only) are allowed per day - guest use of the clothes washer is on a first come, first served basis. Fast hand washing of your dishes, etc., as you use them is recommended (No pre-rinsing please!).
• Laundry. One (1) load per day maximum – full loads only. Dancing Coyote Farm is on a septic system. Septic system-friendly solid or liquid detergents only; only a small amount of Clorox2 bleach may be used, and absolutely no softeners may be used! There is an outdoor clothesline with pins. During inclement weather, Bunkhouse guest may use the Farmhouse's dryer at no additional charge; 1 full load per day only, dryer sheets okay.
• At all times, we request guests to be courteous and respectful to other guests and our neighbors during their stay; keep music and TVs or devices streaming low and/or use ear phones/buds, as well as no loud speaking or yelling. Our guests are here to unwind, relax and have fun, and being a rural area our neighbors are early to bed and early to rise.
• The Bunkhouse is insulated, so with the doors and windows closed guests can still make a fair amount of noise with no issues at all, but loud music and voices really carry in the quiet of the country!
• Exterior lights must turned off by midnight out of respect for other guests and neighbors.
• If you will be having a friend or guests stop by, please send your Host a message to alert them and any other guests of their arrival and presence on the property.
• There is no smoking or vaping or drugs of any kind allowed on the entire property including inside the Farmhouse and the Bunkhouse.
• Infants and children under 5-years of age not recommended.
• Please not expect the use of the Bunkhouse for a professional or non-professional photo shoot, video shoot, or any other kind of business.
• Please leave the Bunkhouse as clean, neat, and orderly inside and out as you found it.
• Please do not remove any remote control units from the Bunkhouse.
• If you have an accident or something should break, please bring it to your Host's attention immediately. There is usually a way to come to a simple resolution provided we repair or replace the problem quickly for your stay and/or in consideration of the next guest.
• *COWHAND'S BUNKHOUSE PET FRIENDLY RULES. One (1) small pet (cat or dog; under 50 pounds) is permitted in the Cowhand's Bunkhouse.
• Proof of up-to-date vaccines from a Veterinarian is required for: Rabies, DA2PPL (Distemper, Parvovirus & Leptospirosis), and Bordetella. Smaller dogs and puppies may be exempted from the Leptospirosis vaccine. These documents must be submitted before arrival.
• Pet must be on a flea preventative.
• Your dog must be house broken and get along well with other dogs and people.
• Guest pet is not allowed in the main Farmhouse at any time as Host has their own pets and/or livestock.
• Dogs are not allowed on the Farmhouse's deck and at outdoor eating areas where food and beverages are consumed. Bunkhouse pets may be allowed on the Bunkhouse's outside patio area with guest's full supervision and on leash at all times.
• Your dog cannot be left alone in the Bunkhouse. Please provide outdoor kennels for your pets.
• No jumping on the beds, bedding or furniture.
• Guest must always pick-up their pet's waste in the Bunkhouse and on the property in general and dispose of it in the property garbage bins; waste may not be disposed of in Bunkhouse garbage or waste containers.
• You must bring your own food and bowls, we gladly supply the water!
• Pets must be keep on a leash or in a carrier at all times when on Farm property. Under no circumstances are pets to be left unsupervised on the farm property or in the neighborhood (must be in your control at all times).
• *If any damages are incurred during your stay that go over the amount of the pet deposit, not including the cleaning fee, guests will have to pay the difference of the additional damage or replacement charges.
• REMINDER: Keep your pet close, especially at dawn and dusk, as there are predators.
